Anyone see jermaine easter has gone to millwall on loan, could of done a great job here and is aparently unsettled. He would be perfect as a rotation striker with forster and murray. As to savage, he would be a great player for us, but i cant stand the bloke.

so he's still thinking about it. Would be magnificent. A player that is despised everywhere and he'd be ours....brilliant. Be like the days of Leon Knight when he got boo'd everywhere. Bit of a free kick specialist as well.
Would kick start us into better things for sure. Would piss L1 IMO

I'd love to see Savage here; one of those players that the opposition hates but you'd always want on your team. He's surely a bit too classy for L1.

BTW, he's got an in-your-face attitude but I wouldn't have described him as a dirty player or a thug. In a long career, he's got two red cards (one of them a totally ludicrous one playing for Wales) that scarcely smacks of thuggery to me.

I like him a lot, but there's alot of talk of him thinking he's too big for Derby so don't really see how he'd fit in here. But anyone who seriously wouldn't rather have him in the team than Cox is a fool

He would not replace Cox, he is a central midfielder! I would love this to happen but would surprised if it did. Has anyone else noticed that Adams seems to have broken his rule about speaking about players he is trying to sign?

It seems to have started relatively recently though, since we've been playing particularly poorly. I suspect he's trying to avert some pressure, to tell the fans that he knows there are problems and he's trying to address them.

Yeah thats what I thought, he really should not do it though. Most normal fans will give him time anyway & we just knocked Man City out of the Cup! Still Brian Kerr, Kevin Thornton and Robbie Savage al linked in 24 hours he is obviously looking for decent midfielders!

Derby announced it first and it is probably a statement of intent from Micky that he is not just sitting on his b hind and realises the squad is a little thin. Savage would either become a massive hero to the fans or a hate figure depending on his performance, I for one would certainly give him a chance

No that's because he is a pseudo hardman (A quasi hardman, the diet coke of hard men as Dr Evil would say :lolol:), the type that cheats and winds up the opposition to get people sent off in the protected arena of the pitch. The type that makes it look like he wants to get stuck in whilst hoping someone will hold him back to keep him out of harms way.

I'm in the despise him camp and would still despise him whether he played for the Albion or not.

That's not to say he isn't a decent player and wouldn't do a good job though.
