As I read it, it wasn't that they gave away the freebies, it's that the people he gave them to were promoting something, they were there to advertise their product, not to enjoy the game.

Agree with that, but Andy Townsend is far worse for stating the obvious. If he were to leave along with Earle id be happy.
Quite enjoy watching Seedorf on BBC though, seems a decent chap, and always liked him as a player.
