I bow to your better judgement but just dont understand why this stinks. From an Albion view it is another chance for our young players to experience mens football. I dont know how serious opposition are taking it but additional gate receipts for them which i trust PL club do not get a share
According to this X account, four of the National League clubs set their record lowest first team attendance tonight (including Woking):
We pulled out of the condom cup?I quite enjoyed the Condom Cup a few years back, when one year we had to withdraw due to not enough team members
But perhaps the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United U21s will prove to be greater attractionsShock horror as Brighton U-21’s turn out not to be a massively popular money spinner. Who could have ever seen that coming?
Yes, that was a factor mentioned in Eastleigh's most cogent statement as to why they withdrew from the competition. Rather than abandoning the competition, perhaps the money paid to the partaking National League teams should be increased - and perhaps more effort could be made to attract attendances - tickets for schools, for example, or free tickets for accompanied youngsters. And maybe an earlier kick off - 6 o'clock perhaps, so no late night before a school day?Once you factor in staff costs and player appearance bonuses, Woking probably made a loss last night.
Aldershot not even announced prices yet ,probably waiting to see what crowds were like . We are charging £8 for FA Youth Cup . Oh just a point we were never going to pull out our chairman is on the National League board .But perhaps the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United U21s will prove to be greater attractions

And one final question - just how much effort did the National League teams put into publicity and encouraging people to attend?
