steve you seem up on your boxing who do you think hatton should aim to fight next, and do you think to get the big fights he needs to change division to welterweight? Personally I think de la hoya could be a possibility.

I reckon that if DLH is serious about the Wembley thing mentioned earlier in this thread (assuming there's any truth to it at all), then it wouldn't take too much, if any, convincing for Hatton to agree to that (huge money fight, in his home country against a modern legend).

Other than that, I expect his future would lie at welter if he's looking (as he should be) at the likes of Cotto, DLH and Mayweather. The trick will be to find a way of maintaining his punch power at the higher weights, don't forget he looked pretty sluggish when he fought Luis Collazo up at welter.

That bodyshot would have stopped pretty much anyone, it was about as picture perfect as you could get, right under the point of the elbow.

That American commentary is unbelievable. Brits in the crowd strike up:

"There's only one Ricky Hatton"
"One Ricky Hatton"
"We're walking along, singing a song"
"Walking in a Hatton wonderland"

Yank commentator

"They're singing Christmas songs in June !"

To be fair, when the only chant the yanks can think of is..

YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!
YOO ESS AY!

.. no wonder they get confused with our extensive repertoire.
