Bach, mighty Johann Sebastian, particularly the Goldberg Variations.

But Satie is a good call, TLO.

heard of John Martyn anyone?

Seen him twice, he was rat arsed on both occasions so wasn't that impressed but he has written some good stuff.

Solid Air is a great album and the track May You Never was badly covered by Eric Clapton who seems to specialise in crap covers of terrific songs. I shot the Sherriff and Knocking on Heaven's door being two others that spring to mind.

Relaxing music choice Frank Sinatra - Songs for Swinging' Lovers

Check out Martha Tilston. Local folky type singer. Really good, doing a gig at the Komedia soon and she sells CD's and no, she's not my sister.

Also...

The Young pretenders:
Lemonjelly
Zero 7
Air

Two real classics for a Sunday morning:
Marvin Gaye - Let's Get it On
Astral Weeks - Van Morrison

Two bands with the word "head" in the title:
Portishead
Spearhead - (but only the chilled stuff)

Got to be the live version off delicate sound of thunder though. Also wish you were here off that album.

Top shout for both although my personal favourite is confortably numb from delicate sound of thunder or Pulse (live). Time is good too.

Infact...i love all floyds stuff.

Also love listening to relaxing classical music (check out relaxing classics at 2 on classic FM).

Beethovens piano concerto no 5 is fantastic as is a piece called miseree sung by a large choir...mmmm just off to roll a spliff and put it on

Soundtrack to Bladerunner by Vangelis

Top call, an absolute cracker, haven't dusted the CD off for a few years but must look it out. Great saxophone break on one track, and of course Rutger Hauer's speech "I've seen attack ships off the shoulder of Orion.." The perfect seduction album.

The Junkies are playing at the Trinity again this coming Sunday for those currently visiting Toronto. Just $27.50 for a magical evening.

Mind you, I saw them a few months ago at the Trasheteria in Peterborough, ON, for only $12. There were about 30-40 there max and I was sat on a barstool right in front of Margo  who had no choice but to sing to me all evening. Heaven.
