Actually, Eastbourne isn't rubbish for restaurants. Picasso's in the town centre has good food and at reasonable prices.

A little out of town but the Sussex Ox in Milton Street is nice. It's a Free House too so good ale as well.

It's ok for grabbing a bite but as a venue for a special occasion, no ta.

The Gun Inn I think it is, great food, not the cheapest place but a nice venue. May have to book in advance as can get a tad busy. That's my choice but then I don't get out much!!!! Not sure of the name of the lane either...

Moonrakers at Alfriston gets good reviews. Haven't tried it myself - a bit on the pricey side.

Have been a few times, lovely atmosphere and very good food and service...a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
