I said earlier on in the season when we were top that the season starts for me when we are safe, anything after that is pure bonus.

Some good points but I can't understand people leaving at 2-1 down - plenty of time for another goal wasn't there - as Mu**ay proved.

we were never going to make it 2-2. not in a million years on last nights performance. they had every right to avoid all the gloating palace twats and make their journey home easier - and try and avoid unwanted trouble at stations.

all this people leaving early is a load of shit! fans do it in every stadium all around the world. get over it for god sake! its not just brighton fans!!!

Football great loving every second of it at the amex, only downside is the way the club and police are able to handle these type of games! Apart from let them mingle plan a they have no plan b.They need a seperate walk way for this fixture or tickets only available to away fans on coaches! Also don't let palace fans drink in the centre of brighton and then escort them right past pubs filled with albion fans! Very strange, conspiracy theory anyone?:moo:

Oh do come on Rev, everyone knows that all away fans will/do travel to the Amex by coach. That's what Martin Perry has been saying for years (lately to a concerned B&H planning committee on June 29) so it must be true. Also enables the 2,200 or so of them to be excluded from the train, bus, P&R etc capacity calculations on which the club's travel management "plan" is based. Capacity extension planning application anyone?

Totally agree with this post. Well said.

As for Herr Tub and Stat's posts on when can we move on from Hereford, the answer is in my opinion not even as simple as that.

Contextually we can never move on from Hereford. It allows us to remember how close we came to never having a club. However, when it comes to performances on the pitch, then of course we need to forget Hereford.

So, what should we remember? Well, let's go back 4 years. Four years ago today we have just been beaten by Yeovil in League 1. We weren't doing too badly and we didn't sell out the Withdean on that day. That was 4 years ago. Just four years. The likes of Jake Robinson and Bas Savage had been our strike force.

In Nov/Dec 2009 two managers were appointed to their respective posts. One was Mancini and the other Poyet. One had unlimited funds and the other had nothing. Since then one of those managers has won a championship and now sees their team in the play-offs. One has won the FA Cup and is in the Champions League. Two clubs, worlds apart, but similar progress.

I bet there are still City fans in their chat rooms that are moaning. If you could get in there and read the posts they make moaning about Silva and Barry and Mancini then what would you think. You'd think they lost sight of perspective.

We're making great progress, with a great manager and a team that is learning all the time.

Oh, and I left at 2-1. Couldn't bring myself to watch Palace celebrate and thankfully I missed the Murray goal. When I got home I saw a post from a 21 year old on twitter stating that all those that left could f*** off and not come back to the Amex. This 21 year old would have been 7 years old when I was walking the streets posting YES YES leaflets through doors so that we could have a club in the future that our kids could go to. How do you think I felt being told to f*** off?

I'd like the Amex to be filled with fans. I don't care if they are plastic (whatever that stupid term means) or not. They pay money that keeps my club successful and going. It's up to the non-plastic to create the atmosphere that will carry others along. I sang my lungs out last night. Love doing it. If the guy or girl next to me isn't singing then I don't care. It's up to them. It's a free world. I just thank them for coming along and showing some support. Thank god they aren't at home watching Man Utd.

ok we lost to palace, anfd in fact we are not going up to the premiership this season.............probaly mid table at best. This is a tough league as tonight proved, but have a good think about the last TWENTY years and this is the the best we have been in all that time
It's alright, I don't need reminding. As I walked away from the ground, I wasn't as upset as I expected to be. Although that game was the most important of the season to me, it pales into insignificance in our recent history. We've finally got a new ground, a great one at that, and we've got a great chairman who should be hear supporting us for years, and I'm loving it. One result just isn't putting a dampener on it for me.
