He's still got 3 years on his contract and they paid £400k for him so I can't see them being too willing to offload him on the cheap and would we be able to pay even half of that fee for a player of his calibre?

I'm still shell shocked at the £300k splashed out for Murray, and that was for a goal scorer we'd been crying out for. I'm not saying Racon is any less important to the team but clubs in our position are surely going to be saving the big bucks for strikers and not defensive midfield options.
