In the right economical circumstances, yes, of course I would smash it!

Well, he spent £625,000 11 yrs ago on a gaff in a Dorset village. Christ alone knows how much that is worth now. So yeah, a true spread the wealth equality for all socialist:)

What would a die hard socialist be buying property in sleepy Dorset for? Tolpuddle Martyrs?

So it's hypocritical for someone who is financially well-off to believe in socialism, but quite OK for a government of millionaires to tell the rest of us to tighten our belts, accept pay freezes or cuts and make other sacrifices?

CAUC? Please explain, I know not of this acronym...... That said Billy Bragg is a dead set legend, and I have no issue with him getting a little more comfy in his latter years. I will never foregt seeing him the first time at NELP in Janiuary 84 (yes, I referred to the gig list again) with his little speaker supporting the mighty Redskins, nor any time after - A13 Trunk Road To The Sea, now that's the way to plagarise great music of the past and a lesson to all the so called "hit parade" of today, humbug.....

Must admit, I had to Google CAUC as I hadn't heard of it before.

Do some people think that socialism is just about taking all the money and splitting it equally because if you do then you are probably dumber than you could ever know. It's about equal opportunity. Some will take that opportunity and others won't. Billy Bragg has made his money and I suspect pays all his taxes. Some, like Philip Green don't. If David Cameron had been born on a council estate would he be where he is now? Very much doubt it.

Just far enough away from LDC
Jane Moore wrote a very impassioned article about how the media were hounding andy coulson and how as a personal friend he had assured her that the phone hacking was one rogue reporter and the was no cover up. Let's see how she gets out of that one then? For those who would smash it ( and I wouldnt) would probably be able to tell her anything and she'll believe it.

Was getting very annoyed about the Human Rights conversation and people who really should have known better getting their European Union, European Convention on Human Rights and the Human Rights Act mixed up. Little bit of research would have helped

How, in the name of merry f***, do you know that?? Are you basing this assumption on the fact because he was born into a privileged family he wouldnt have the necessary chutzpah to succeed? If so that is inverse snobbery of the highest order.
