There is now a very real chance that the Inquiry could run until 3 or 4 May.

And a very real chance we won't get a decision by Christmas. General Election, Prescott calls it a day, new DPM needs time to get up to speed, new DPM prioritises his new workload, new DPM shuffles Falmer to the bottom of his in-tray, new DPM announces it's now a shortlist of three potential sites, new DPM calls for further details of all three potential sites etc. etc. yada yada

You KNOW the pack-drill

I thought that the Inspector made it clear that any evidence that was not open for cross-examination was going to carry very little weight. Therefore, if this bloke refuses to be cross-examined, the Inspector will treat it in accordance with his statement, and basically ignore it.

Or, did Mr Brier (the Inspector) not make that statement?
That's fair enough. But, even if he gives it little weight, the Inspector is duty bound to report the evidence submitted.

With the attention that the ODPM Planning Directorate are bound to give to Brier's Report, there is always a slight risk that they might give Ellis's evidence more weight than it merits.

I'd be much more comfortable if could be demolished comprehensively before the Report is written.

Plus Prescott won't be able to make a decision a month before an election so a decision before the election is now virtually out the question unless Blair calls it later in the summer.
