LOL that seems a touch negative!
I wouldn't presume we'd finish top 6, but certainly top half.. and I think even Swindon fans would be amazed if they matched / bettered last season's efforts.

Interesting that many people are tipping Forest in the Championship.

I read a preview the other day that suggested many Forest fans seem to think they overachieved massively last season, and that they will struggle to match it this time round. They haven't made that many signings, and there are apparently major issues between Billy Davies and the board, so it wouldn't be all that surprising if he resigned or was fired at some point. I think Cardiff and Leicester will also struggle to match last season's achievements, but Swansea and Ipswich should improve.

Interesting that nobody's tipped Pompey for relegation from the C'ship so far either.

You accidentally kind of referred to my post twice there! I backed Forest because they aren't missing anything from the squad, to be able to challenge. They have a quality goalkeeper, they have Kelvin Wilson (at the moment, anyway) who could step up to the Premier League and they have a couple of underrated midfielders in Cohen and Majewsky, not to mention Earnshaw and Blackstock up front who I think are both pretty darn good, and then you've got Nathan Tyson to come in and Adebola who has alot of Championship nous. I know that Blackstock has been the subject of attention from Southampton and a few others, but he's still there at the moment. And even if he does leave, he'll be replaced. They're by no means rich, but they are resourceful and Billy Davies got an awful Derby team promoted through discipline, hard work and a couple of good players. I think they're a good shout to go up, but maybe the title is being ambitious. Middlesbrough SHOULD walk it, considering the players they've signed. But I'm still not convinced they've got the right balance in the squad, and they need a better goalkeeper.

Unfortunately, I think Newcastle are going to get relegated, because of the shocking goalkeeper and the lack of firepower up front. But I just can't predict them to do badly!

I can't see Newcastle setting the Premier League alight. No way is Carroll going to score bucketloads in the PL, and the rest of their squad is very average.

Would be very funny if they went down again, though I think they'll escape.

The bottom half of the Premier League has never looked so average. The might finish 17th on the basis that West Brom are always relegated, Blackpool are certain to be relegated, and there is absolutely nothing to choose between Wigan, Blackburn, Newcastle, Sunderland, Wolves and any other dross that will be down there.

Hi Brighton fans. I have taken a look at your teams chances this season here: The Opposition Peterborough United Blog

feel free to comment on my prediction, which no doubt will be proved wrong by the end of the season!

I hope you enjoy, and good luck this season, apart from when you play Posh ;)
