We now have 16 different nationalities playing for the Albion?

17 Englishmen, 2 Scots and 2 Spaniards then 1 each of a

Slovak, Israeli, Dane, Irishman, Frenchman, Norweigian, Welshman,
Congolese, Argentinian, Ivorian, Dutchman, Iraqi and a Chilean.

You've missed off Colombia (Gonzales), Egypt (El Abd), Austria (Barnes), Canada (Strong) and Brazil (Branco) for starters...

I wonder if on Austrian football forums they will have long debates about whether or not Ashley Barnes is good enough to play up from for them :moo:

I believe Gonzales is on loan, El Abd and Barnes are listed as English and the other two are not in the first team.

I meant loan as in out on loan not "on loan to us" and according to our website Kasim is in the first team.

Don't care how they may be listed but Barnes in an Austrian u-20 international which fairly settles that argument, and el Bad definitely qualifies for Egypt

"El-Abd has stated in a 2005 interview with EgyptianPlayers.com that he intends to play for the Egyptian national side if he gets the call. He said: "Hopefully I'll do my best to get into the team [Brighton] over here, so that then the Egyptian national team coach can see me play. And it's always been a dream for me to play for Egypt"
