can the england team handle it?

when things are going their way and they are flying, they can look like world beaters - see qualifying, see early results under shteve

however, once things go a little wrong and the country get on their backs, they just seem to fall apart - see after croatia for shteve, see current performances

they seem to be able to perform for their clubs other the course of a season when one result doesnt always matter as there are 37 others or the rest of the champions league group stage or a second leg to put it right

yet once they put that england shirt on they seem to totally lose that ability currently

No its technique what have they been practicing at the training ground, so far England are second to Argentina in shots with 33 and joint second with Germany in shots on target 14 and we have scored one goal.

Japan and Ivory Coast have only had 5 shots each, Ivory Coast only one on target and both have won games.

Stats can say anything though. Saw one on telly tonight, that Spain have made the most passes in the tournament, with a success rate of 91%. Whoop-de-do. They lost.

That is of course true but having 14 shots on target in two games and just one goal usually = fantastic keeping cant say I remember much of that
