Surely being the 'best league in the world' is completely based on opinion. For one person it may be the in game experience (ie terraraces, drinking during the game) but for the majority of us here we aren't going to be going to Bundesliga matches so that's irrelevant to us.

For others it's about the entertainment of seeing an unpredictable league.

For others it's about seeing quality players on show and entertaining matches.

I fall into the third category, but others on here probably fall into the second category.

The championship is surely the highest competitive second tier in Europe though?

shhh, i've been trying to tell people this for a while now. typical english mentality, though, most people refuse to believe the germans do football better than us on near enough every level because they can't bear the thought of the old enemy being better than us.

shame this country is too stuborn to learn from the germans, but what do those ruddy nazis know anyway, eh?

German football has always appealed and ive watched it quite a few times, def want to try and a football weekend in germany and get a real sense of what seems to be an amazing atmopshere

Good stats. So it's only us and Germany that have all homegrown players.

With Jerome Boatengs signing to Manchester City, it leaves only England with all homegrown.

a bull shit excuse. Argentina have been class and they had 3/4 player that won the Champions league final, as well as Tevez who plays in the Premier League. Engand are shit because they cannot control the ball, pass the ball and then move into space to give the fella with the ball an option. Instead we have midfielders wanting to play hollywood 45 yard balls and a team that stands still when they are not on the ball. YTo solve it kids should play 5 a side until they are 15. Simple really

The Premier League has the most strength in depth in Europe, La Liga has Barca, Real who are amazing (due to separate tv deal finance) and a few others who are very good (Valencia, Sevilla)

We've got plenty of dross - are Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Wolves, any better than the likes of Espanyol, Osasuna, Almeria etc?

Let's face it, the Premiership's got to be the most predictable league around for ups and downs.
