We sign players like him and we'd do well to stay a mid table Champiosnhip Club. Times have changed and while I'm not saying we should be signing Messi, we should be aiming a bit higher than old players who have never been that prolific, especially when they have played in this country before.

403 games / 129 goals IS prolific for a target man.

Show me better please for a target man who is REALISTIC.

Exactly a no-brainer. Tall player who can come off the bench and knows how to score goals blindfolded. Also would be a terrific influence on younger players. He 2 years younger than Kevin Phillips too.

my dad has called again and has the autograph. Probably turn out to be bollocks but you never know. I have asked him to photo and send it a copy of it to me so I can confirm but forgot my dad is 70 and can just about manage answering his mobile, although sometimes that is a bit hit and miss! I will just have to pop into the parents on the way home and take a look myself.

I have absolutely no sources and am certainly no ITK, but...

My father is a brighton cabbie and has just picked up from the jurys Inn in to take to the Amex someone called Walter Pandiani on the Brighton FC account, although he wasn't 100% on the spelling on the last name. (he is 70)

I am guessing walter Pandiani unless someone else knows another Walter. Before anyone asks my Dad is a season ticket holder but has no idea who these people are just passes on the names. On monday he picked up our new goalie and took from Amex to mercedes garage and kindly got his grandchildren an autograph.

I wait the abuse which will surely follow.

70 eh !
Seems a little old for the championship.
You can't beat a bit of experience though.

He's 36 years old!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 goal in 5.3 games last year. And he's only going to get worse. I'd rather the Simon Church rumours were true as at least we won't have to be subbing him after 60 minutes and resting him every other game

As mentioned above, he is YOUNGER than Kevin Phillips, a player we wanted to sign and who scored FOUR goals against us last season. Like I said, all depends on his fitness levels.

Kevin Phillips who has been one of the top scoring strikers this country has seen in modern times? Just proves that we can attract a better quality of player than Pandiani

403 games 129 goals, a majority of which has been at the top level in Spain. Not too shabby IMO.

CMS just needs someone with experience who knows what he's doing alongside him... Pandiani fits the bill, surely?

The next couple of days according to Gus in the Argus,

seems practicalities involved with carrying out a medical might postpone his next signing by a day or two.
