Predict when the next new signing will be announced

I am not obsessed with it. My son rings me up to tell me about it and his logic is, right or wrong, that somebody has mentioned it or it wouldn't be on there.

Out of interest Gudjohnson was mentioned on here over a year ago and most agreed he woul be a good signing but his wages would have been a problem then but possibly not so now.

I must admit since other have mentioned Cox, Bridcutt etc I have just had a look at it

I could mention that we're going to sign Messi, it doesn't bloody mean anything.

My own view is that you can read and take what seems as a possibility and discard what is obviously out of the question I think Gudjohnson could be a possibility but obviously if it said Messi I would discard it as not plausible

As with anything else, you have to consider the source.

Some people (not many, I grant you) on here for example do seem to have an inside line and so their tips are more worth listening to than those who post ad infinitum in the way you mentioned.

Its the same with websites, the one in question is known by all and sundry to be full of shite, so why set any store by what is posted on there?

After reading Nsc for many years, it's easy to spot the genuine sightings and info, from the attention seekers. The majority of what is on the transfer rumour site is attention seeking validated by people repeating it here. 'It's on Nsc now so there must be something in it' which creates a vicious circle.

amazing how we all swing from delight and optimism to deep gloom and despair - a couple of weeks ago we were thinking we would miss all our targets because we were broke and couldn't afford their wages - then we signed a keeper and thought we had netted Vicente and his best mate and we were smiling and bragging about which multi-million pound premiership star would be next - and now we are back to deepest despair again with little that's positive in sight.

What we all desperately need is a signing to discuss - that and for Palace to lose Zaha and Clyne while McCormack signs for Dubai or Outer Mongolia or whoever!

That would be great except Raul has signed for a side in Qatar but had he signed it would probably have helped get Vicente back.

I wouldn't be suprised to learn of a new signing today. No inside knowledge just simply contracts came to an end at the end of June and this is the first Monday of July, generally tends to be a day that a number of signings get announced. Plus you had Gus saying signings a couple of days away last week. Points towards picking up a free agent.
