I sent in my renewal and asked for a three year season ticket, just noticed they have only taken the money for the one season. Phoned them up and it was mistake, so they have now taken the additional monies! So thats nearly another grand on its own!!!

I'm not saying they're struggling in the ticket office BUT.......

I wonder if that takes into account the fact that the 3000 who have renewed are probably paying less than they were last year...

It can't get any worse. If Falmer get's the thumb down next month then it's goodbye.
Would that not qualify as getting worse?

I'm going to ruin a good shock thread with a bit of maths.

435-413 = 23 (discount compared to last year)
23 * 3000 (amount of people renewed) = 69,000 (amount lost due to 5% discount)
100,000-69,000 = 21,000 (remaining loss)
21,000 / 413 (cost of ST) =51 (STH's not renewed)

So we only have 51 STH's that haven't renewed. Is this really so shocking considering the season we had?

That's well clever !

I have tried to explain everything as I went along. Admittedly I have assumed that everyone pays for a higher priced ST, as I don't know the other prices off the top of my head.

so if we have 1 win in 12 form next season and 5 goals in 11 games the crowd will be around 3500.

It is, but the maths is wrong.

435-413 = 23 (discount compared to last year)
23 * 3000 (amount of people renewed) = 69,000 (amount lost due to 5% discount)
100,000-69,000 = 31,000 (remaining loss)
31,000 / 413 (cost of ST) =75 (STH's not renewed)

Still doesn't amount to many STH not renewing.

FECK!!!! How'd I miss that one? I looked at it and thought I'd gone wrong, but I am trying to do my own work for a change as well.
