Sept 91.

0-0 Massacre was the Argus' back page as we outplayed them (I think or did they out play us)

Drove down with a mate in my step mum's orange Escort - first time I borrowed it and not the last

Early/Mid 70's. I think I was about 15. I also think it was still possible to walk around the ground - because it if had not been intimidating enough in the first half - where we were standing was suddenly full of Pompey skinheads - and they were not ringing bells. We left before the end (I had stopped watching the game a long time previous) through what was like a cat-flap in the wooden gates. Then we were chased back to the station - thought phew. The special came in. Phew again. Then the Portsmouth yobs came running up the platform, starting kicking down a wooden fence and were chucking it at the train. Our door was opened and this nutcase swung this stave in - that luckily hit the top of the door. It was a nightmare.

Eventually the train went, and it got systematically dismantled before we got back to Brighton.
