It should be harder for councils to build on sports grounds than it is for sports clubs to get permission to build new stadia!

Should note that Mid sussex District Council is based in Haywards Heath and there have been a number of councillors making snobby remarks about Burgess Hill. Also take into account the demise of their own football club and it is the only way they can get above Burgess Hill Town in league status!!!

I think everyone who has helped with saving the Hillians deserves a big pat on the back. Everyone who signed the petition, people who arranged meetings and getting signatures at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Great work, thank God common sense prevailed.

There's even talk of moiving to a new ground in 2010 out by the sewage works.
