When he gets the ball with us, he is normally 30 yards out with his back to goal.

If nothing else it'll be good practice for his 'Kenny Miller' role in the Scotland team.

Come to think of it, Cardiff bought Kenny Miller for 800K. If we're not going to play to CMS's strengths we may as well have bought Kenny Miller for a fraction of the price.

Hopefully a bigger role for Vicente, a return to form for Kaz and the arrival of Razak and Assulin can provide CMS with the ammo he needs.

If anyone needs any further convincing on Dicker's role, have another butchers at the CMS goal against Palace before things started to go pear shaped. Banged in low and hard from the left wing. Exactly what Lua Lua should be able to produce given 90 minutes now he's back to his best.

Looking at this video of a shed load of CMS's goals, most of them are tap in's in the 6 yard box or where he runs through the defenders clean through on goal.

When he gets the ball with us, he is normally 30 yards out with his back to goal. The amount of chances we create for him like the ones in the video are about 1 every 2 or 3 games.

I like how we play keeping the ball, but lots of people want to see Mackail-Smith score goals as well as run around lots. Maybe with Vicente, Buckley and LuaLua firing we can improve our service to him?

He was not good for the posh at this level he`s worse for us, we should have sold him to reading. To build a team around smith would be suicide

CMS interview in todays Argus (yeah I still buy it blah blah) is him talking about his strengths and how he likes to play and how it hasnt quite fitted in with our style of play and how he has needed to adapt his game along with Barnes

Have been wondering that recently actually. Maybe Gus didn't realise the lone striker role wouldn't suit him and just got it a bit wrong? Or he has just become too dependant on having 3 centre midfielders and doesn't want to deviate from that as (until Sunday anyway), our defensive was looking pretty solid after some shaky periods at the start of the season. Maybe Razak can change this though and fill the role that Navarro/Sparrow occupy by himself? Leaving Poyet free to add CMS up front from the start with Vokes.
He's had a few decent chances since the turn of the year with some good through balls, but his confidence is obviously not as high as it should be and he's scuffed them. Really hope we do get to see the best of him, because the guy deserves it for all the work he does for us.

really hoping that by adding a great big THIS........................... it might happen
Perhaps though he will learn from the need to change and adapt his game and we will see the results next season
