Kuipers 7 didn't have much to do.
Virgo 8 made some top tackles when needed
Elphick 6.5 few mistakes
Calderon 6 quiet game
Painter 7 solid enough
Navarro 8 took a while to get going but was brilliant defensively and made some great passes. Non stop for 90mins
Crofts 6 disappointing
Carole 5 nothing he tried came off
Bennett 7 good runs and crosses
Holroyd 7 worked hard, looks promising
Dickinson 6.5 worked hard but just not quite at the races
Murray 8 turned us into a team capable of scoring/winning. Why didn't he start?

Agree. We look far more solid at the back with 2 decent full backs! message to gus. Well done for trying carole on the left wing but it didn't work. Roll on Lua Lua! Just a shame then as I can't see Dicker getting back in!

A game of two halves for me. The first half was absolutely dreadful, but they looked quite good in the second. When Murray and Dicker came on we looked like a different team. My scores are for first half/second half

I would still take Dicker over Navarro. Under SALDE the Crovarro midfield never worked. Plus I will just rate Dickinson. MINUS 20. Go away and never come back.

Kuipers 7 - Kicking has improved massively.

Virgo 8
Elphick 6 - Still one or two scares, still a woeful first touch.
Painter 9 - MOM - How did no one else notice he was absolutely flawless? First half he bossed the game.
Bennett 7 - Didn't see enough of the ball, looked dangerous at times.
Navarro 6 - Did ok, still too slow and nearly chopped a couple of players down due to this.
Crofts 7 - Busy and had space to work in with no Dicker around.
Carole 5 - Saw plenty of the ball, very wasteful. Tricks and no end product.
Holroyd 8.5 - Really class touch, looks intelligent and has bags of pace. Him and Murray look like the way forward.
Dickinson 5 - Infuriating, and someone I genuinely want to succeed because you can see what it means to him. Not quite good enough to be starting for me.

Calderon dodgy distribution?? I would like him to take a second touch sometimes but I think he is very tidy with the ball. As for painter albeit not attacking has anyone noticed how little a threat the opposition are down that left wing when he plays and how little crosses come in.

This is the key to our improved defensive displays, far less crosses are getting in to the box. The ones that do are from players under pressure so it is easier for the centre backs to clear. It is no coincedence that Virgo and Elphick are looking more solid since Calderon and Painter arrived.
