Ankergren - 7 - couple of great saves. Generally sound. Incredibly not tested very often.

Calderon - 3 - couldn't see the tackle clearly, but seems it was two footed. Shame - we'd have won with 11 men

Greer - 7 - strong at the back. Couple of slips covered nively by his mates

El-Abd - 8 - huge game. This man has done a deal with the devil because he is not the same player as a couple of years ago.

Painter - 7 - quiet and efficient. Effortless defending

Bennett - 8 - played as two men for 83 minutes. What a hero.

Bridcutt - 7 - was everywhere. Not always accurate when forcing the game, but snuffed out the little Charlton tried to build in midfield.

Sparrow - 6 - good game. Dispossessed too easily early on. Grew into the game.

Dicker - 6 - hot and cold. Gave the ball away that led to the penalty but can see a pass like no one else.

(Kishishev 86) - 7 - did what he had to for a few minutes. Thought he'd scored at the end. Great substitution by Gus.

Wood - 6 - played for a long time with his back to goal. No real threat apart from one header but isolated. Not as good in the air as you'd think.

Murray - 8 - won almost every header. Brought players into the game. Lovely passing (esp to Kish at the end of the game after his run at Charlton). MOM for me.

Blimey, looking at those scores, were BHAMAN and Clipped Gull at the same match?

BHAMAN think you are tad generous there.

Was it EL-ABD that gave away the pen? (I'm not sure)

To be honest, it looked to me that Ankergren took him down but was given little choice due to a sleepy defence.

Ankergren - 7. Couple of times I get worried but all round solid.

Calde - 3. Looked like a foul, just wasn't happy that the ref appeared to change his mind a few seconds after the foul
El-Abd - 9. He is superb
Greer - 9. Same as above
Painter - 8. Solid as normal

Bennet - 8. A few missed placed passes but does such a great job at right-back when needed
Dicker - 8. Whatever missed placed passes he made don't matter because he was part of the 3 man midfield that kept us in it
Sparrow - 7. A bit quiet but always seems to be in the right place
Bridcutt - 8. He is always in the right place, earned us a point with a superb goal-line clearance

Wood - 6. He could have easily scored with that header and just didn't run around enough for a team down to 10
Murray - 9. When he plays like that he is Championship quality, easily

Re-read that for a second, and consider that we didn't make a sub until the last ten minutes. To me it seemed as though Gus had deliberately told him not to bother chasing after the back four knocking it between each other in order to not tire himself out, which paid off in the end as I think he had one of his better games for the time he was on.
