Bridge-7.5-Good going forward and didn't give them much down the wing

Hammond-6-Thought he was ok tonight but he does slow down our attacking play
Buckley-5-Barely saw him, perhaps he also isn't fully match fit
Vicente-9-MOTM-Great performance but I do worry at times that we rely on him too much

Ulloa-7-Showed some good touches

Ulloa-8- Held the ball up well, won most headers and passed very accurately, seems like a good buy.

LuaLua-5 - Very disappointed, £1m seems like a very bad bit of business right now.

Hoskins - 6 look sharp till his fate was sealed by injury
Ulloa - 5 not one of his best games IMO, missed 2 glorious chances with headers.

Orlandi - 6 average
Lua lua - 6 not much time to really make an impact but Unlucky with a shot that shaved the post late on

Bruno - 4 - Love him but he didn't look fit today was pretty awful
Upson - 7 - Dominant in the air and calm on the ball
Adam - 7 - Same as Upson, solid.
Bridge - 6 - Very subdued until he got support from Kaz in the last 20 and was bombing forward

Bridcutt - 8 - Just Immense, simple as.
Hammond - 6 - Standard performance, should have done better with his headers.
Buckley - 5 - Poor again to be honest, was completely out the game for majority of the game
Vicente - 9.5 - Unbelievable, the most technically gifted player I have seen in the stripes. Joy to behold

Ulloa - 7 - Tried hard and showed some nice touches needs more time to settle into the team and we need to CROSS the ball more.
Hoskins - 6 - Good link up player. He's just cursed injury wise though


LuaLua - 5 - Looked very hesitant this evening, didn't seem to want to run at the defender
Orlandi - 7 - Quality on the ball and good link up with Vicente

Ref - 3 - Gave out about 4 bookings in 5 minutes, lost the plot really and had no control over the game for large periods. Shocking standard of Refereeing this season.

Blackburn - 1 - Thought they were better than that, HOOF merchants and no ambition in the game what so ever

Vicente-9 ohhh how we have missed him, lets hope he stays fit for rest of the season even if it is his last.
Hoskins-6 better than CMS shame about his injury hope it's not bad.
Ulloa-7-Showed some good touches

Would agree with this. Vicente and Bridcutt were on form. Bruno and Buckers really did have off days.

Bridge 7. Would have liked to see him get forward more.
Bridcutt 8. Not his best game as 3 or 4 wayward passes, but apart from that excellent.
Hammond 7. Good game. Unlucky not to have scored.

Hoskins 7. Was playing OK until his injury.
Ulloa 6. Good in the first half, but faded in the 2nd and wasn't winning headers. Disappointed in him today.

Kuszczak - 8 - Excellent performance, very solid and kept the shots that he saved to his body to ensure that no one got on a re-bound. Two very good performances in four days.

Bruno - 5 - Don't want to dwell on it too much as he's not fit, only real positive is that he played 90 minutes. We move on.

El-Abd - 7 - Strong and committed, forming a good partnership with Upson.

Upson - 7 - Like El-Abd, some excellent headers too. Believe (without looking at a replay) that he could have lost Dann for their goal, could be a 6.

Bridge - 6 - Neither here nor there, did well against Campbell/CKR. Not attacking as much but most importantly his defending was good.

Bridcutt - 7 - As always, brilliant. Some poor cross field balls, but he was there to start every attack.

Hammond - 6 - He brings a lot of shape to the side, keeping it balanced. Not his best game, but you rarely see him give the ball away. Poor headers in first half.

Vicente - 9 - Unreal acceleration, touch and movement. Lacking in pace but his gliding runs are a joy to behold. 2 in 2 now, MOM.

Buckley - 6 - Not fit, thus not fast enough. Started well, but was up against a very good double team in Olsson.

Hoskins - 7 - Looked sharp, held his man off well. Gutted about the injury which sounds serious, get well soon Will.

Ulloa - 5 - Move on, shots just weren't going in. On the other hand, excellent first touch and link play. Yet he's in the team to score goals.

Orlandi - 7 - Excellent deportment, links well with Vicente and looked dangerous when attacking.

LuaLua - 5 - Didn't beat his man once, taking the momentum out of the occasion for the last 20 minutes. Come on Kaz, you're more than good enough to take us up with some electric pace and tricky skills. One close shot isn't enough, you have it in you however.

Bridge 7.75 - decent, not getting forward as much in recent weeks
Upson 7.75 - seems to be fitting in well
El Abd 7.75 - hard fought performance
Bruno 8 - getting back into some of his top form, I think
Bridcutt 8.5 - strong performance
Hammond 7.75 - under-appreciated, perhaps taking the place of barnes for some of the "fans" that need someone to complain about
Buckley 7.5 - seemed quiet in the second half
Vicente 9 - great performance
Hoskins 7.5 - sad to see him get injured, looked good on the attack, perhaps needs a little extra work in defence
Ulloa 7.75 - worked hard, held the ball up. Can't wait for him to settle into the team and get to know everyone's tendencies and players get to know his.

Orlandi 7.5 - seemed to let play pass him by at times.
Lualua 7 - one of those appearances where he seems reluctant to use his pace.


I thought our general performance was an improvement on the hull game, but all our shots seemed to go straight at their keeper. We made him look better than he was. Even the penalty was straight down the middle.
