Adam el Abd wins Player of the Season with 31% of the votes
2nd is Murray with just under 30% 3rd Bennett with 15%

If thats true then Brilliant our goal difference shows how good our defence is ,and it apears that when El-Abd dont play we dont win

Deserved award, El Abd has been around this club for a long time now, he's clearly prospered under the management of Gus and Mauricio. He's been a rock this season and very much a crowd favourite, well done Adam.

It is on the club site so definitely true. El-Abd was suspended for 3 games during March for 10 yellows and we won every match.

Brilliant. Well done Adam. Amazing in a team full of international flair, a Brighton boy shines through.

We don't have a very good history of Player of the Season and good year the following season for us. Maybe Gus will look to sell him like Crofty or watch him waste away like Whingy

Well done Adam, has clearly shined this season and although Murray was very close, this is thoroughly deserved!

A sad day for football when the player with the biggest heart and the least footballing ability wins such an award. Hopefully he will acknowledge Greer's part in his success.

Sad day? Least footballing ability? What are you talking about? Seriously, he's been brilliant this season. Sure the degree of his improvement has helped him win this, but are you really suggesting he's one of the weakest players in our team/squad? Because from where I sat, he looked like one of our best.

I'm sorry, but it's a myth that he has little footballing ability. His positioning is second to none which is why, whenever there is a ball in the air near our box, his head finds it before anyone / anything else.

Has had a great season, think Player of the Year should have been Murray though as his all round contribution, attack and defence wise, has been immense. We are a far weaker side without him as seen against Bournemouth and when he went off against Saints. And probably today. Whereas when El Abd is unavailable, we are more easily able to replace him (though oddly not so Greer). We have no other striker who can do what Murray does, which is why we feel it so much when he's not playing.

But congratulations to El Abd anyway, as has been said many times on here, few of us predicted that Poyet would turn him into the player he's become.
