Henderson - 5 Felt he got rounded too easily when their bloke hit the post, and could have done better for the third?

Whing - 6 Gave away possession too cheaply but the least bad defender.
Hinshelwood - 5 They were walking past him at times.
Butters - 5 Not a very good game.
Rents - 5 Sloppy in possession, crossing well below his usual excellent standard of delivery. Wrong side of his man for their first.

Fraser - 5 Not great.
Carpenter - 2 Dreadful, makes me sad to see it. Poor passing, static, made very little impression on their midfield when they had the ball.
El-Abd - 5 Didn't keep the ball well enough.
Cox - 6 Poor game by his standards but most of our good stuff still came through him. Seemed to get a bit frustrated and started shooting on sight.

Robinson - 5 Poor game, gone off the boil a bit.
Revell - 6 Put himself about a won quite a lot in the air.

Lynch - 6 Better than Hinshelwood.
Gatting - 7 Did well.
John - 6 Lively on the ball but didn't make much impact.

Generally LI I thınk you're pretty on the ball wıth your ratings but I just can't see ıt wıth Chıppy right now. Yes it was a good throuıgh ball but one through ball doesn't make up for the rest of the game. Our central midfield was woeful. Without Hammond we have no leadership in the centre. The way you described Brittain was BETTER than Chippy. I don't know if it is because he is not fit or because he's losing his edge but Chippy is not the player he was. Yes, Wendy will pick him short of having Hammond but Hammond and El- Abd has to be our first choice midfield right now.

This may sound strange but I still think we're short in centre midfield. Chippy and Charlie won't come back which basically leaves us with Hammond, El-Abd, possibly Fraser and possibly Loft. Is there anyone I'm missing?
