No way! Jake was so wide in that midfield, he'd have been in the stand if he'd gone any further. It has been suggested on another website that McGhee stuck him so far out there in order to turn round and say 'told you so' to those who want him in the team. I can't believe McGhee would do that.

Jake is a striker. We need more than 1 player up front as CKR needs support, Turienzo's control is debatable (to say the least) and Trolley is inept. It's a radical departure I know, but it might be an idea to play Jake in position - rather than hang him out to dry after 45 minutes out of position when he was no worse than most of the others anyway.

Keep this up and we'll get relegated playing 4-5-1, losing 2 promising young strikers while doing so. Hopefully McGhee's post-match comments indicate he realises we need 2 up front.

1: That's a wild supposition. Why would Mcghee cut off his nose tospite his face? We're not so good that we can afford to do that at any stage this season.

2: We know that McGhee plays players out of position. We don't have a big squad so players have to be flexible. Look how many players weren't playing in their preferred positions yesterday- Reid, Hammond, Knight, Robinson, CKR(if you believe the argument that he's actually an attacking midfielder.) Players have to accept it and get on with it. Hammond, Knight, Reid and CKR have. If Robinson was ineffectual yesterday(and i'm not saying he was the only one), maybe it's a sign that he's not ready for the first team just yet. If he has to play as a striker, then maybe there isn't enough to his game yet to warrant inclusion from the start as I would argue that Leon Knight is ahead of him in the 'little man' pecking order and it's probably not the wisest thing to play a strike force whose combined height doesn't reach 6 foot...

So if you want players to play in their natural positions then wouldn't Leon be the better option upfront? And likewise wouldn't CKR drop into midfield and El Turi/McCammon a.n other be his partner?

It seems to me that whenever Jake has come off the bench he's had rave reviews. Surely that's the wisest way to use him for now. The responsibilities of starting a game and coming off the bench are very different. Let's give the lad some time to develop as a player. I think we should be arguing for Jake to be brought on earlier in a game, not demanding that he starts.

it was the best I have seen Trolley play EVER!

CKR was isolated in the 1st half, but overall we were Utter Shite in 1st half and then we were the better team in 2nd half.

Hull wern't anything special and will be down in the relegation fighht with us.

Trolley is inept.

Most of the chances we created yesterday revolved around Trolley in the second half. We were far more dangerous once he came on and the defender marking him did not enjoy it. If he had caught the volley right, it could have screamed into the top corner (all right, it might have gone over the roof), and he should have connected with a low ball into the box, but it wasn't his fault when Leon missed his cross. Trolley does give us the option of roughing up defences, and I am glad we still have him as an option, flame me if you like. The only real positive was Henderson's better working with his back four, but all in all a pretty awful afternoon.

As for the stadium, yes it's very impressive, but I don't really like these bowls, and I'm glad Falmer or wherever will have four individual stands. Therefore, Wolves must rate as about the best ground I've visited, as it is still a real football ground (though I have read they want to move). I am, though, thoroughly fed up the commercialisation of football. Playing music when you score, and, "here's Hull's first goal, scored by..., sponsored by...Please, please, please, please, please Dick, can we not have that at Falmer, or wherever we end up?

i agree totally with that - mccammon was realy effective up front, and did more in his half than kazim richards did in his

And I forgot to say that some berk decided to throw himself under a train at Thornton Heath, so we sat outside Clapham Junction for 50 minutes, while countless trains went past on the slow lines. I got home at 11.40 rather than 10.30, so that really brightened up my mood
