Do any statto's know what the usual points tally is to make the Championship play-offs?

We have 18 games left, how many points do you think we will need this season?

Probably averages to about 74.

So far we're on 1.5 points/game, that needs to rise to 1.78.

I think it'll be 71 points this season, simply because the championship is so competitive. I expect Cardiff, Leicester & Watford to run away now but it's all play for for the final 3 places.

34 points needed in 18 games. min of 9 wins is required with some draws thrown in.

Home form is key now, need to win most of them to stand a chance, no more slip ups, no more draws, no more sitting back, no more negative tactics, tempo from the off and we can tear teams apart. Im excited about the run in, but think its just too much based upon our recent results.

We need two points a game average from now on - which is what we achieved when winning League One - so not impossible.

75 Points is a good points target.
We are currently on 1.5 pts per game over 28 games.
We now need 1.83 pts per game over 18 games.
We also need between 9-11 wins to hit this target.

We have won 10 games so far out of 28.
We need to win just as many in the next 18.

I reckon 74 points could do it – and if we get a decent run together that's very achievable.
Win 9, draw 5, lose 4. Mind you, if we manage that I bet we'll lose some we wouldn't expect to, and win a few unlikely ones.
We never do things straightforwardly ...

So according to this we only need another 7 points or so to stay in this division...happy days!
Something which we would've dreamed of a few seasons ago at this stage of the season.
