I may be in a minority of one here, but I rather like Neil Warnock, and I will be gutted if he takes the Palace job, because I'll now have to join in with the rest of football and loathe him.

He's a character, no doubt, but I'm sure what the Orange-utan is more interested is the fact that he's led five teams to promotio over the years (Scarborough, Notts County twice, Huddersfield, Plymouth and Sheffield United), so he must be doing something right as a manager.

I still can't quite see Warnock as the type to attend the Orange-utan's "star-studded" (c) The Sun birthday bash, but it does look like a done deal re the manager's job.

Damn.
