He's been rubbish everywhere he's gone other then Troyes.

Bit harsh, he did well in the first season at Marseille and got them into the champions league, which a lot of people havent managed to do in recent years.

How To Completely f*** Up A Good Thing in 7 easy steps, by M. Mandaric.

1. Upset the manager who got you to the upper reaches of the Premiership by trying to sack his right-hand man behind his back to get your foreign mate in, who no-ones ever heard of, but who's name ends in a 'c'. Then change your mind when your manager and his right hand man threaten to walk.

2. After having a little think, bring in your foreign mate anyway who no-one's ever heard of, but who's surname also ends in a 'c'. Give him a job upstairs and call him, ohhh I dunno, 'Director of Football' or something. Ensure this undermines your manager as much as possible.

3. Your highly pissed off manager decides to walk, and join your closest rivals. Install your foreign mate, who no-ones ever heard of, but who's name ends in a 'c', as the new manager.

4. Your foreign mate in, who no-ones ever heard of, but who's name ends in a 'c', turns out to be a crap manager and nearly gets you relegated. Sack him. Employ an unknown frenchman who no-one has ever heard of as manager.

5. The unknown frenchman who no-one has ever heard of also turns out to be crap, and seems to be getting you relegated. Sack him.

6. Errrr.....

7. Now what ?

3a. When the club's fans go nuts because your manager joins your closest rivals, put word about that the deal was done before he left your club. That way you deflect their hate from you (the dicatato.......sorry chairman) to your ex-manager.

This sacking was on the cards almost as soon as Perrin took the job. It was never going to work, because the guy can bearly speak English and knew nothing about the Premiership.

Nightmare chairman, Portsmouth will never do better than when they had Redknapp in charge.

To be fair, he was a great chairman to have up until about a year ago. Got Harry and Jim in, gave Harry the funds for his legendary 'wheeling and dealing', bankrolled them from the foot of D1 all the way to the upper reaches of the Prem...and then inexplicably hit the 'self destruct' button BIG style.

Mandaric did a lot of good there, but has allowed his ego to run wild with the 'I'M the one running this club' attitude, and boy are they paying for it now. If Mandaric could turn back the clock, I'd bet my right bollock Redknapp and Smith would still be in charge there today.

Dowie is not in the frame for the Pompey job. Watch out for a former manager returning, or one of two from a German or a Scot. Warnock highly unlikely - he would not swap a promotion team for a relegation team.

Manadaric is out of Portsmouth shortly - he promised them a new stadium, which is about to happen, then once it has been named after him, he will go.

Keane will go to Celtic, not Portsmouth. Needs to be a manager which can tolerate Mandaric and his tweaking. The former manager has worked with him before, but would go in with a new set of guidelines about how the football club is managed.

Good set of contacts for Pompey.....

They've offered to treble Colin Wanker's salary though...
