All too predictable - and sad for the fans. Some ex-super star players are cut out for management while many others (eg Gazza) are not. Look at the contrast between Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet. I am relieved we chose the 'talented' half of that management team!

A hot headed looney latin facist like De Canio was always going to be a chance too far. A classic case of Chairman of Club in trouble takes a punt by appointing big name ex-player as Manager, hoping this will turn things around and capture a few headlines. Naive to think he could hope to keep the reigns on a loose cannon like De Canio?

Next stage: Manager uses convenient excuse to walk out on Club citing 'lack of support from Chairman'. Meanwhile Club is now deeper in s**t than ever. Poor old STFC, get back to basics fast or it will be footie in the Conference next season.
