Just thought I'd share this with you all, in a way of raising awareness to the disgraceful tactics of stewards and policemen at football nowadays

We were not privy to why he they were trying to escort him from his seat and he didn't make things easy upon himself. I reckon he could have avoided that struggle if he had gone with the police to speak to them out of the way of everyone else?

That's true. But he's paid for his ticket/season ticket, so why should he be made to miss it by standing up with his fans?

Drive by abusing
Whatever the circumstance the physicality shown towards that bloke is a bit much.
I hope ours are never that bad.

So thats what was happening during the match against Villa. Saw all the stewards and such in the crowd during the match but could not figure out what was going on. To be fair I have to agree that even if he thought he did nothing wrong his best bet was just to go with it, out the seating area and talk bout it then. For lack of a better term "resisting" is not the best option....

they obviously wanted him out for whatever reason....resisting is a bit silly as they're not going to just give up are they?

plus we don't know the reason as to why they wanted him out, he might've been hurling anti-flair abuse at super mario (which equal a lifetime ban if i had my way)

The only place where I have found the stewards to be really awful (picking on people) is at Old Trafford. I have had trouble at Priestfield and Withdean though (overofficious).

The best ones I have come across have been at Brisbane Road.

Don't know what he done if anything, but some people deserve all they get at football. You know the rules...break them and that's what happens, some deserve to be taken out...like pitch invaders and hoolie's who smash seats and toilets!!

Sounded like someone said on the video, it was for standing up. IF that is the case that is bloody ridiculous. Having said that, in my experience MANCS could pick a fight with a paper bag.

how is the man's health now anyway?

If it was just for standing up then does seem way over the top. Football really needs to sort that rule out, its almost impossible to enforce.

Even if he was resisting, it looks as though he was out cold when the ambulance worker went to him.

You seem to suggest that he was on the floor because he had been put there by the stewards/police due to them getting 'physical'. You don't know that. Looks more like he has collapsed.

The trouble with clips like this they merely show that the guy resisted being escorted away, even when confronted with overwhelming odds. I don't care what the guy taking the video says was the alleged reason, you need to hear both sides. As BoF said, resisting was the dumbest thing he did. As for the comment that 'he paid for his season' what the f*** has that got to do with it. If he was breaking ground rules and/or was abusive to stewards then he deserved to get taken out.

You're right but I wasn't suggesting that he had been knocked out. If someone is put under stress so much that they collapse, it also suggests that too much force has been used. How many stewards and coppers does it need to take one old bloke out?

But he put himself under that strain by not going in the first place. What are the police supposed to do. Someone resists so we let them go rather than them collapse.
