You may think 9000 is crap but York is the best of 4 hours drive with a K.O. time of 5.00pm most people I knew who went got back after 12.00pm and adult ticket prices were around 40 quid. So surely you can undertsand why the attendance was low. And by the way York sold the full away allocation at Luton then again the K.O. time was respectable along with the price of tickets.

With a population of 193,300 they do seem very poorly supported even allowing for bigger clubs in their area.

Once again, people are having a go at a club for their level of support. Surely what's important is that the people who do go are every bit as passionate about it as those fans of clubs who turn up in greater numbers. York are no less valid as a club than Oxford, or Luton, or Cambridge.

It's not York City's fault that they don't get massive crowds, short of offering everyone in the city free entry, what else are they going to do in a place that has no great footballing history?

Sake, we can be so above ourselves on here sometimes.
