OT Kasabian - Velociraptor

Thoughts? I wasn't sure after first listen, I'm a huge fan of West Ryder especially. 3-4 listens later it's really growing on me, some quality tunes on there!

The title track? Chorus sounds well weedy. Think Kasabian are fast losing the vital lifeforce, same as Oasis did. Albums getting progressively weaker.

Straying off topic a tad. I am gutted that Sky has replaced Clubfoot with Tinie tempah.

Haven't heard all the songs from this yet though.

Tracks 1 & 3 are fantastic the strongest on the album. I think the album is very good at least the equal of the last album better than empire but their debut remains their finest work.

Just out of interest, if you've never listened to Kasabian what do you base your opinion on?

I was a big fan of Kasabian (the album) and Empire but West Ryder didn't really do anything for me so I'm reluctant to buy Velociraptor.

I'm a fan of Kasabian, just not this album only liked track 3 Goodbye Kiss the rest sounds like a collection of b-sides. Weakest album so far.

What is good music? It's completely subjective and considering how you have never and will never listen to Kasabian I fail to understand how you can distinguish their musical abilities.

You also make a huge presumption that because I have brought the Kasabian album I do not actively listen to or seek different types of music which is completely inaccurate.
