True and Dodd could be but in the same bracket

Kitson didn't acutally come to us with an injury, he picked it up when he was with us. Same with all of the other guys who got injured, so it's a little harsh on all of them.

We may be Skint, but we are not a bunch of shits.

Charlie is 32, out for rest of the season, and out of contract. Many of the cockjuggling weasels who run football clubs would therefore withdraw the contract offer for next season, especially for a player of Charlie's age, and play mind games, but not the Albion.

Magoo has stated that Charlie will get the contract because he deserves it for effort and commitment he has shown at the club. We did the same with Dean Blackwell a couple of years ago. It's things like this that help improve morale amongst the squad, but more importantly, show that we are a club of decency and honour.

Could you see Simon Jordan behaving in the same manner?

While I agree He has been playing well, Rightly or wrongly Brighton tend to waste money on ijured players.

And what bracket is that? The "player gets injured playing for his club" bracket? So according to you we should only sign players that will never get injured, managed by someone who never makes a mistake. And this can happen how exactly?

Leeds would. At one stage it was mandatory to be injured to get a contract at Elland Road.

It's obvious - you bring in the Carlisle manager. That solves everything. :jester: :jester: :jester:

Don't challenge the chap Lokki he knows more about the game than us as he supports Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur.

I didn't think we had any alternative when it came to Blackwell and Rodger as we had offered them two year contracts, and would have to honour them....

Not really true. They were both offered one year deals, Blackwell screwed his knee in pre-season and Coppell said the club would honour the offer, even though Blackwell had not signed.

Rodger signed the deal and played in most of the games until he injured his knee in the League Cup second round game at Middlesborough.

When their contracts expired, they were put on week to week deals to prove their fitness, when they could not the 2 of them retired.

I think this a good move by McGoo. Other players will look at this and think this is a club worth fighting for. More importantly, potential players will look at this club and see that it is one where, assuming they put the work in, they will be looked after.

I understand Dick Knight tells every manager and player who comes to us that, if an offer comes in which is good for us and good for you, we will not stand it your way. That's the kind of thing that gets our club a good reputation in football circles. And it's also why, when someone steps over the line (Hello Leon!), they should be shipped out ASAP before the poisen has a chance to spread.
