One game wonders!

The great HERO of my childhood ...

Colin "Rock" Hudson.

One appearance in 1961/62, away at Bristol Rovers.

Before that, he scored 21 goals in 81 games for Newport County. Not bad for a winger.

The game Wade scored 4 in [v Newcastle] was not his debut. He played in the previous match [away to West Brom possibly?] and also scored once in that.

Away to Wolves wunnit ? We won 4-2, I was there. It was the night Liverpool played Palace and racked up one or two goals.

That Newcastle game was the night the Gulf War broke out, you know. I remember, cos I went home looking forward to seeing Wades 4 goal haul on Sportsnight, only to see it cancelled for a fat american general pointing at a map all night.

Turienzo definitely played at least one home game - I remember him hitting the bar from 30 yards, and mistakenly thinking to myself that he might be quite good.
