I'm going to have an omelette for lunch!

Any suggestions?

I'm thinking Cheese and Ham/Bacon.

The plan is to mix some eggs milk cheese and pork in a bowel and tip it onto a frying pan.

Thats how you make one right? :lolol: :jester:

Milk? You don't need milk. Just the eggs whisk add your other ingredients and pour into frying pan

You're supposed to put a tiny bit of water in the egg mix, milk is for scrambled eggs

I was watching Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall the other night and he made a tortilla by slicing some par boiled potatoes and then chucking in some other veg and stuff, poured over a load of eggs and then cooked it. Like an Omelette but looked much more substantial.

Whilst on the subject of cooking does anyone know what the yellow marinade is that they use on chicken kebabs??

Hassocks
Fry bacon first, then add mushroom, then pour in egg (no milk), add cheese, season with pepper and basil.

Or a splash of single cream if you wanna be posh.

I go for a spoonful of creme fraiche myself.

Milk and a small bit of butter. Whisk with the eggs then tip into pan, when partially cooked add the cheese and dead animal.

The butter is essential.

Will "I can't believe it's not butter" work? :dunce:

3 large eggs (organic really does make a difference with eggs) - beat them up

knob of butter in the a spotlessly clean non stick pan, drizzle of olive oil in a pan over a medium heat get the butter foaming hot but not browning
pop the eggs in - do not stir do not agitate
add a few shavings of hard cheese
a few fresh 'soft' herbs - e.g. basil - rocket's quite good as well
grind a little black pepper and a little salt over the mixture
when you can see that the edges are starting to set fold the omlette in half and give it another minute

if the omplette isn't thick enough to fold without it breaking you can pop the pan under a hot grill for a minute instead

NO MILK

Just made it.

Put on loads of basil by accident and far to much cheese!

Burnt one side of it pretty bad.

It's edible though, just.

I'll post a picture of it later :p

3 eggs and a little MILK.

Separate the eggs, beat the egg white gently, then add the yolks and the little bit of MILK.

Season well with salt and pepper.

Heat pan and add a little butter.

Add eggs (with their little bit of MILK), then herbs de provence, a few cooked new potatoes, some cooked peas, a liberal sprinkling of grated Emmental and some chopped ham...

and cook until the base if nicely brown.

Stick under a hot grill to brown the top.

And enjoy !
