Vintage one-second pause on BBC Sussex this morning when the Partridgesque presenter asked Liz Costa if she'd be sticking with the club (or something to that effect).
If anyone actually wishes to stop coming for football related reasons only, then please do carry out your wishes asap and stop wasting your time getting involved in something you really dont care about. You'll be happier for it, and the rest of us will be happier for it too.
You are exactly the type of supporter that ruins football, get a sky deal and watch any game you want at home. Most on here have been to the shit end of football, travelled hundreds of miles in the pissing rain to watch some of the poo served up by Brighton teams over the years. If you think a run of nine games without a win will cause people to abandon season tickets then good ridance.
The OP just states 'who has cancelled their Direct Debit' it doesn't imply that it is their Brighton ST. You would be crazy to expect any ST holder to cancel their DD or ST only 13 games into a season. We have lost 5, 'Boro in 4th have lost 4.
I suspect the DD he is referring to is maybe a specialist magazine subscription or similar.
If people cancel their DD based on the season so far, then I don't think i'd want them to be associated with the club. We've been through worse than this, so a run of bad results is a drop in the ocean in comparison.
Yes, a fishing trip but it's worth saying that no matter what it going on at the moment I will not be stopping my DD or my sons AND i will renew even if we go down. He loves it and I'm not about to kill a new fan's enthusiasm off. Plus, whatever my view on the summer signings and Sami you can only (constructively) criticise if you're a paying customer IMHO.
Even if you do cancel you won't be able to buy a ticket again until the balance is cleared for the rest of season. A bit like a mobile phone you've entered into a contract with the club which you can't get out of until said contract ends. Yes you can cancel the direct debit and it will fail every month however you will still owe the club the money.
Thus rendering cancelling said direct debit kinda pointless, unless that is you never want to go again in which case knock yourself out (even then I'm sure the club will probably still come after you for the money).
