I've just seen the Cheeky Girls Christmas song for the first time...

:nono:

I'd say it's a fight between Pop Idol & The Darkness for Christmas number 1 this year from the songs i have seen!

i heard a tune on the radio this morning a cover of Mad World from the Donnie darko movie thats out soon, it should be number one for ages as its brilliant.

Sadly I tinhk the Pop Idol song with the 12 finalists singing on it is bound to be number one.

I LOVE that Mad World song - heard it on Soccer AM on Saturday when they played the original by Tears for Fears. Not heard the new version, but if its half as good as the original I'll be buying it.

They played it for the first time a couple of weeks ago in Southampton.

They and the song are shite.

Donnie Darko was out ages ago. Agree about the song though, very good version. As for Pop Idol....

Lyrics;

I heard there is no Christmas,
In the silly Middle East..
No Trees, no Snow, no Santa Claus,
They have Different Religious beliefs..
They Believe in Muhammad,
And not in our Holiday..
And so every December,
I go to the Middle East and say..
Hey there Mr Muslim, Merry f***ing Christmas
Put down that book 'The Koran'
and hear some holiday wishes
Incase you haven't noticed,
it's Jesus's Birthday
So get off you heathen Muslim Ass
And f***ing celebrate.
There is no holiday season in india,
i've heard..
They don't hang up their stockings,
and that is just absurd..
They've never read a Christmas Story,
They Don't know what Rudolph is about..
And that's why in December,
I'll go to india and shout..
Hey there Mr Hinduist, Merry f***ing Christmas
Dring some 'nog, and eat some Beef
and pass it to the Missus
Incase you haven't noticed,
It's Jesus's Birthday
So get off your heathen hindu ass,
And f***ing celebrate.
Now I heard that in Japan,
Everyone just lives in sin..
They pray to several gods,
And put needles in their skin..
On December twenty-fifth,
all they do is eat a cake..
and that is why i'll go to Japan,
and walk around and say..
Hey there Mr Shintoist, Merry f***ing Christmas
God is gonna kick your ass You infidelic pagan scum.
Incase you haven't noticed,
There's festive things to do
So lets all rejoice for Jesus
and Merry f***ing Christmas to you.
On Christmas Day, I travel round the world and say..
Taoists, Korishnas, Buddists
and all you atheists too..
Merry f***ing Christmas to you.
Thank you, Mr Hat..

I agree. Brilliant version. Not out yet I don't think.

Out next Monday I think. Brilliant version. Heard it on the radio this morning on the way to work and thought it was Michael Stipes at first.

Being 34 I don't give a shite about what's #1 at Christmas or any other time of the year come to that, but that is a great song.

Plus, not a mullet in sight (I would imagine).

Traditionally the christmas number 1 is usually shite.
So Pop Idol, Noddy, or South Park would not be out of place.

Outsider could be Ozzy and Kelly, but a bit depressing for Christmas.

I prefer the original Mad World by Tears for Fears, great song.
Out of all of them I would like the cover to be christmas number 1, but I doubt it will be.

First time I've heard that cover of Mad World. I agree with Tinx, I actually think it's better than the TFF original.
