Veteran spinner Mushtaq Ahmed will undergo a late fitness test on his stiff neck before being cleared to play so youngster Ollie Rayner stands by.

Kent are without South African Andrew Hall for the rest of the season because of international commitments.

West Indies' Dwayne Bravo has been drafted in as a replacement and could make his debut for the club at Hove.
