Wilkins made some astute signings. But would he have signed players of the quality that Micky's brought in this summer?

Hard to say. He got Forster and Whing last summer but nobody else permanently. Adams has got four players in permanently already with more to come so I think he is probably a greater selling point.

Think Adams said at one point he was looking at 6 new players

The odds are already shortening , as I predicted in another thread when the opening odds were announced.

I notice those whining about Wilkins being better at signing players than Adams have gone a bit quiet...

Wilkins wouldn't have been given the money last season.

The board's suddenly made a big show of the need to be in the Championship. I don't think they mentioned it once last season. It certainly wasn't their priority.

I wasn`t convinced but the squad`s looking good now.
Just need a left back and another striker.

Corals are still offering 22-1, got to be worth a few quid

I have just doubled my stake to £50 at 20/1.
I seldom bet,but won both times on winning the championship.
Its our time and cannot afford to wait til next season, cos if you do guess what?
We'll get kicked in the bollocks!

6-1 to get promoted on paddy power, no doubt not the best odds but had a £20 free bet, so only cost me £5. Hopefully bring me in £155. Any one know the best odds for Murray to be top scorer?

If i am correct, the league 1 top scorer odds haven't come out yet.

However the way Brighton look set to play next season with the wide men putting in a lot of balls means Murray should bag a lot of goals. He's very good in the air...

Wilkins WAS offered the funds to bring in new players....

He chose not to.

Wilkins also got Murray and Thomson

If you read my post I said he signed them last summer. Murray and Thomson came in January. I was comparing our summer buys this year to last year.

Hopefully the number of permanent signings we are making means we won't have our Christmas/January struggle as loan players return to their clubs and we search desperately for new ones.
