Ok, I'm 42 and perhaps I shouldn't be bothered, and I have obviously missed something somewhere, BUT.........

What the fook has happened to GH, I sat down tday with a cup of tea and my son put GH on, and was horrified to find that all those cheeky cockneys of my day ( late '70's) have become northerners with attitude ( well most of them anyway).

What has happened?.... did the school get transplanted lock stock and barrel to the North West?

Help!

Just read about Grange Hill: The Movie.

'Grange Hill' creator Phil Redmond has announced plans to bring his legendary TV series to the big screen. The show, which revolves around life in an inner city comprehensive school, first started in 1978 and has run for an amazing 29 series.

In the past, 'Grange Hill' tackled serious subjects like bullying, drug addiction and teen pregnancy while at the same time making household names of characters like Danny Kendall, 'Tucker' Jenkins, Roland, Ziggy and Zammo.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Redmond said: 'I have been thinking about the idea for two years. I'm writing the script now and should be ready to start shooting in spring 2007 for an autumn release.

'I will be filming in and around Merseyside and I'll look at where some of the old characters are now and what happened to them.'

"It's still in the early stages," said Carty of the movie, which is being developed by Phil Redmond.

Filming will begin next Spring for an Autumn 2007 release.

I was Danny Kendall's boss for about six months - it was spooky to see flashes of recognition when people met him.
