Can anyone recommend a decent one. Must be multi-region playback too...

Couple of mates say Panasonic or Lite-On are good value at around £150..

Richer Sounds website does a Panasonic for £120-odd (you can buy it instore for that if you mention you saw that price online, otherwise it's about £150). Just bought my folks a fairly decent Samsung for £99 from Comet. Bottom of the heap is Chavsda selling a Bush for £77. Lite-On seem to get good reviews.

make sure that the panasonic does dvd-r and dyd-rw and not juts dvd-ram (the disks are not widely available)
