Gene Hackman is quite superb, his range is amazing - a brilliant comedian, a menacing 'baddy', a sympathetic loser, a noble hero, a sleazy scumbag - utterly convincing in everything he does

Willis does what he says he does on the tin but him in a string vest is not the same as Hopkins in a tour de force performance of acting ability ala Silence of the Lambs or Shadowlands imho. But each to their own.

All Cruise ever does is grimace, shout a bit, and thump the walls, even in Born on the 4th of July.

Sprouting facial hair and sitting in a wheelchair doesn't make you a good actor.
