Musselburgh has been forced to abandon its scheduled jumps card on Thursday due to frost, with the meetings at Clonmel and Ffos Las on the same day under threat. With overnight temperatures expected to fall dramatically, officials at Clonmel have called an 8am inspection, while a decision regarding Ffos Las will be taken half an hour later with the ground heavy but raceable at both tracks.

There was no jumps racing in Britain or Ireland for the third day in succession as the fixture at Ffos Las was cancelled late on due to a frozen track. The Welsh track had undergone three morning inspections but the surface was deemed unraceable following a fourth inspection with jockey and trainer representatives 15 minutes before runners were due to go to post for the first race.

The selections by Cantona's Flying Dropkick and Frankie were non-runners.

The first race tomorrow is the 11:50 at Lingfield.
