I love em. 3pm cuts short a liquid lunch. With 5:30 can enjoy leisurely lunch followed by post match drink.

For most of the season 5:30p.m means 2:30 a.m for me hence, for purely selfish reasons, I hate them.

Yes, the system is well established. It is just such a pity that no one tries to amend the system to recognise fan issues. Four 5.30 kick offs in a row is absolute pants. A nightmare for away fans and home fans who travel far to their home venue.

It will never happen but what if the Premier League issued their fixture list, with a selection of games at different times and days of the week, and said to the TV companies that the fixtures were set and they should bid based on that. Even if the TV companies bid a Billion quid less on this basis, all that would mean is that player salaries and transfer prices would come down a little. Not a bad thing......

Somehow I don’t think it would be them who will be making up the shortfall..

Next home Saturday 15:00hrs KO is Spurs, might be moved as they are playing in Europe, then possibly an FA Cup Game Saturday 08th January, CPFC Saturday 15th January will be moved for TV so roll on Burnley Saturday 19th February.................

Is this the price of success ?

One other thing, the Newcastle game was picked by BT so would have been 12:30 KO, but Police have moved Manchester derby to 12:30 and Sky / BT have agreed to swap their normal Saturday slots.

So those who hate 5:30pm KO can blame GMP for that one.
