Pat & Mick- "I Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet" (hope this was a charity record, as otherwise there's just no excuse).

I think I have unfortunately remembered one that will best you all.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you........

Arthur Mullard and Hylda Baker - You're The One That I Want

Fortunately I can't find it on youtube.

I'll see your Arthur Mullard, and raise you one Smurf Song

Father Abraham & The Smurf Song

The great British public bought this in sufficient volume to get it to number two in the charts.

:shootself

"Hey! You're smurfing out of key!"

Stutter rap (no sleep til bedtime) - morris minor & the majors

This was Tony Hawks (Round Ireland With a Fridge and Playing the Moldovans at Tennis fame)- he went on to try and make another hit to prove he could do it again. It made for a very funny book called One Hit Wonderland.

What about Jilted John with Jilted John? Now that was a classic, remember the immortal line 'Gordon is a Moron'?

In the spoken part near the end, the singer sounds worryingly like Christophe Lambert of Highlander/Mortal Kombat fame.

EDIT: A trip to Wikipedia tells me that the lead singer of the band in question is called Oliver Bendt. Which explains the outfit, for a start off.

This was quite a novelty, not sure if they recorded anything else.

Yes, yes they did. 'Desperate Dan,' which featured 'Opus 300' on the B-side - truly one of the worst tunes of all time. I own it with pride.

As a favour to you all, I will make a download of Opus300 available for a limited time.

Opus300.mp3 (2.9Mb)
