What a pile of shit that list is.

What about the Cambridge manager(s) whose side didn't win for 31 matches? Or John Sitton for abusive team talks? Or - highly conentiously - Pat Saward who led the Albion to 14 straight defeats?

There's nothing before 1990 - the start date of football to the Ignorati - except for the dubiously tokenistic Brian Clough reign at Leeds.

That reads more like an averagely dull bit of journalism than an expose on shocking appointments.

I always felt sorry for Hinch, he started to bring some good kids through and sowed the seeds for a decentish youth development program - allbeit a there wasn't much to beat as we had been sorely lacking in this department for years.

He was the wrong man at that time and it didn't work out, and fine we went down, but we were punching above our weight anyway.

What about Christian Gross at Spurs, Ruud Gullit at Newcastle, Peter Reid at Leeds??

Graeme Souness being in it is a bit harsh. He inherited an aging Liverpool side, still managed to win the FA cup and had to have a heart bypass.

Bizarre list, Dowie, Santini and Souness wer hardly that bad, the first two weren't given any time, and Souness was left with an ageing team that was falling apart.

What about Adams second time round here, or at Coventry, or the half a days work he did at Brentford or the hour or so he did at Swansea?

Bit unfair on Hinch given that he had the job more or less dumped on him and very annoying bearing in mind Steve Coppell was available as well. Not one of Dick's better ideas.

I say highly contentious because he did lead us to promotion in 1972.

True ... remember Saward had a house on Shoreham Beach ... but never heard anything of him again after he left the Albion

Just found he died of Alzheimers in 2002 RIP

Hmm difficult subject

So in terms of being overall shitness/reigns I would plump for Jeff Wood, Dr Jozef Venglos and that bloke at spurs Cristian Gross.
