What a load of bull. I've been to a few do's there over the years, even stayed overnight and while you might find him in the bar, it is after all his hotel, I've never once seen him making a nuisance of himself.

The you've obviously not read the reviews of people who've had their receptions there(not every one granted, but a pattern emerges). I've don't doubt you have been to a few do's there in the past and had a good time, but if you're booking your wedding reception you want everything to run smoothly - and IMHO if there was even the remotest chance that he was "at home" on the day of my wedding i'd rather take the family to McDonanlds and sit in the big boat(is it still there in Western Rd)

On another note. a mate who's a chippy did a bit of work at his mausoleum in Uckfield but left the job early when it was apparent that none of the tradesmen there at the time were going to get paid....

The guy is just a shit, no two ways about it!!

Ah yes after reading his wikipedia entry I see it is about another slum landlord catching up with him, ie becoming the new or second NVW. The below quoted from wikipedia and BBC would indicate he has was released after only 48 hours in jail.
