I heard that they are re-issuing all of his singles catalog-one song a week. The person on the radio may have been joking but I heard that today.

As for Amazon, there is currently a query as to whether their sales count towards chart placing. During the Otway campaign they didn't. It will obviously not be available on there until this is sorted.

Buy it though an affiliate link (any affiliate link) make them get less profit for it. Use NUS cards etc get the price down but don't not buy it.

Lets face it in a few years you may even be able to get your money back via ebay.

So all you internationals its not a bad deal.

I ordered 20.97 worth of cds (3 cds)
Then used code VR1401 to get 3 pounds off
Then had 2.68 taken off as we don't have to pay the VAT

Then add on 4 pounds to ship 3 cds

Grand total 19.29 - for 1 pound 68 less than the total I started with... not bad really. Comes in Royal Mail so hopefully wont have to pay duty.

It comes off HMV's margins they simply offer a small part of the profit they make as an inducement to advertise their service. Otherwise they would have to negotiate individual deals with every wholesaler that supplies them with products that they sell.

It costs the buyer no more, it costs the artist nothing the only loser is HMV, and after their joke I think they need to pay.
