Definitely gonna be an outsider, probably 3rd or 4th choice after all the decent managers have made their excuses.

barwick will select pearce - he is cheap and will not stand up to the FA old boy network

I'd give it to Steve Coppell, a man who gets the best out of average players, just what's needed. Only problem would getting Joe Public to believe these players are only average in World Class terms.

I'd happily watch an England team that played with the spirit of most Coppell selections and knew their limitations rather than a media led "we can win the whole tournament with the players we've got" mentality. I could even accept results like last night if I thought every player had given his all and knew what he was supposed to be doing. Patently not the case in last night's debacle.

Coppell at 20/1 is a good shout and would be my choice

Mourinho is too much of a live wire for those old farts to pick him

Wont be either of the first two. Capello gets my shout, old enough to not be worried about future jobs and has done well elsewhere.

Claudio Ranieri - legend.

If that wanker O'Neill gets the job, I won't watch our national team whilst he's in charge.

Definitely NOT coppell. He can't handle pressure at Big clubs, he's more a small club man. (remember Man City)

I would give it to Cappelo, incredible managerial record and really wants the job, he's a good fit.

No no no no. He upset the players and left Roma 4th from bottom. He was involved in the corruption debacle that cost Juventus a place in Serie A and he was the idiot who was slated by the Madrid fans and who sold Beckham to LA.

Cappello is no different to McLaren and I truly hope he doesn't get the job.

I think O'Neill ticks all the boxes that the FA draw up and I can see him in charge.

Where's the option for (very) mainstream movie director Stephen Spielberg? (aka Ian Botham in US's avatar). I'm sure Hollywood's loss would be England's gain.
